Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Friday requested citizens to give real feedback on Swachhata ranking during Swachh Survekshan-2017 survey to be conducted by the government of India to promote the brand image of Hyderabad.
The GHMC Commissioner asked the citizens to give their feedback following Swachhata ranking guidelines. He asked them to give a missed call to 1969.
The Integrated Voice Response System (IVRS) in Amitabh Bachchan‘s voice will call them back. “Answer the call and press 1 to participate in Swachhata ranking.
IVRS will ask for your area PIN code. Please enter your area PIN code, if u don't know, enter 500001 for Hyderabad.
IVRS will ask questions related to improvement in cleanness over last year. If you are convinced that GHMC is improving, give a positive feedback by pressing 1,” he said. GHMC commissioner also said the citizens could also give feedback by log on to http://swachh-survekshan.in
GHMC Commissioner said in order to foster a healthy competition between cities for improving cleanliness standards, the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) started the ‘Swachh Survekshan’ survey for ranking of cities on cleanliness and other aspects of urban sanitation.
He said the MoUD had initiated ‘Swachh Survekshan’ 2017 which would conduct a survey to rank 500 cities across India.
He said the performance evaluation of the Swachh Survekshan was being conducted by Quality Council of India (QCI), an autonomous body established by the Centre for quality assurance in all spheres of activities including governance.
He said the Swachh Survekshan would be carried in three parts. Part I for 900 marks would cover the technical aspects of sanitation that has improved in the city, Part II for 500 marks will be covered by the visual observation by the QCI team and Part III of the Swachh Survekshan for 450 marks are to be covered by the Citizen Feedback on cleanness of the city and 150 marks for Swachhata app or My GHMC complaint redressal mechanism.
