Gajwel (Siddipet): Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy strongly criticised the State government for failing to fulfil even a single promise after coming to power.
Gajwel (Siddipet): Telangana TDP Working President A Revanth Reddy strongly criticised the State government for failing to fulfil even a single promise after coming to power.
During the ‘Praja Poru’ campaign which was flagged-off from Gajwel constituency, represented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, unprecedented number of TDP party workers participated in a rally held from Pregnapur to Gajwel on Wednesday.
Addressing the huge gathering of people, Revanth Reddy pointed out that 3,005 farmers had committed suicide after the formation of Telangana, which is just short of Maharashtra where highest number of farmers’ suicides took place.
He also alleged that families of farmers who committed suicides were still visiting the revenue offices for ex-gratia. Rubbishing the State government’s propaganda about 2BHK housing, he said that out of 950 houses constructed in twin cities by TRS government, 350 houses were already sanctioned by the previous government.
“When the Central government has allotted 1,200 houses for Telangana, our government has constructed only 600 2BHK houses in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages which are CM’s adopted villages, in addition to the houses in the twin cities.
This means there is nothing done by the State government in terms of providing housing to the poor after the formation of Telangana,” he observed.
He sought to know if KCR had done anything for his native village Chintamadaka and asked about how many acres of land was given to the Dalits of Chintamadaka.
“The house where Professor Jayashankar lived in his native village is being purchased by someone and that person is trying to demolish it. Didn’t KCR promise that Professor Jayashankar’s house would be developed as a public library?” he asked.
Telangana TDP leaders organised Praja Poru yatra in 18 districts of the State that are represented by Ministers in TRS government to debunk the myths of development being propagated by the government.
TDP President L Ramana, Telugu Rythu President Vanteru Pratap Reddy, TDP leaders Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy, Shashikala Yadava Reddy and others participated in the rally and public meeting.
