President Pranab Mukherjee will attend the first convocation of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) to be held on April 26 at Global Peace Auditorium, Brahma Kumaris Shanthi Sarovar, Gachibowli, and will deliver the Convocation Address.  Governor and the Chief Rector of the University E S L Narasimhan will be the Guest of Honour.  

Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee will attend the first convocation of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) to be held on April 26 at Global Peace Auditorium, Brahma Kumaris Shanthi Sarovar, Gachibowli, and will deliver the Convocation Address. Governor and the Chief Rector of the University E S L Narasimhan will be the Guest of Honour.

The English and Foreign Languages University has been an avant-garde institution with a rich history of teaching and teacher- training from its inception as the Central Institute of English (1958) and later as the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (1972).

To extend its reach, CIEFL established regional campuses at Shillong in 1973 and at Lucknow in 1979. In July 1973, CIEFL was conferred Deemed University status and in 2007 it became a Central University under its present name by an Act of Parliament.
