KCR Kit scheme to be rolled out on June 2

Chief Secretary S P Singh on Monday instructed all the District Collectors to make necessary arrangements for the successful implementation of ‘KCR Kit\' scheme to the newly born babies in the government hospitals. The scheme would be officially launched on Telangana Formation Day on June 2.

The scheme would be officially launched on Telangana Formation Day on June 2.
During a video conference with the officials from the Secretariat, the Chief Secretary said the objective of the scheme is to promote institutional deliveries in the government hospitals by providing incentives including Rs 12,000 as cash reward for baby boy and Rs 13,000 for baby girl paid in four instalments.
The Chief Secretary asked the district authorities to link the beneficiaries Aadhaar card to their bank accounts to curb misuse of the scheme. The Collectors were also entrusted to recruit the required man power for the implementation of the scheme from the level of Primary Health Centres to the special maternity hospitals in the cities.
