Painting competitions, by Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, were conducted on a grand way. As many as 150 students from 40 schools participated in the competition which was inaugurated by senior social scientist N Raveendhar. 

Hyderabad: Painting competitions, by Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, were conducted on a grand way. As many as 150 students from 40 schools participated in the competition which was inaugurated by senior social scientist N Raveendhar.

In the competitions, there were three different categories - sub juniors 1 to 4 classes, juniors 5 to 7 classes and seniors 8 to 10 classes. Besides painting and drawing competitions, there were elocution competitions. The competitions were held with the theme ‘connecting people to nature.’

T Radhika, project officer said, ``It’s a three day competition, we have a competition at Forest Academy tomorrow. The prize distribution will be given on June5 on the occasion of World Environment Day. Telangana Minister for Forest and Environment, BC Welfare Jogu Ramanna will give away the prizes at TSPCB in Sanath Nagar.”
