Maoist surrenders
Maoist Sodi Devaiah alias Mallesh of Rallagutta village surrendered on Saturday before Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, the police said.
Bhadrachalam: Maoist Sodi Devaiah alias Mallesh of Rallagutta village surrendered on Saturday before Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, the police said.
According to Mallesh, he was attracted by Left Wing extremism when he was studying in eighth standard. He came under the influence of the Maoist outfit’s Local Organising Secretary Vijay.
SP Sunil Dutt said 21 cases were registered against him in Charla and Dummugudem police stations. He served as the Charla local organising committee secretary and Manuguru Area Committee member.
He said the surrendered Maoists would be rehabilitated on behalf of the State government and the Superintendent of Police. He asked the Maoists to join the national mainstream for the well-being of their family members.
