Hyderabad: The Youth Congress leader and son of former Minister M Mukesh Goud, who was released on conditional bail, on Sunday, denied that he had stage-managed attack on him.

Speaking to media persons at his residence at Jubilee Hills, Vikram Goud wondered how a “debt-ridden” person could manage to hire hitmen to fire shots at him. “The police knew that I am in debt to the tune of Rs 40crore. He asked whether it was possible for him to pay Rs 50 lakh to a hitmen while he was in heavy debts.

He demanded that the police reveal the identity of an offender who fired at him. He said he did not get the firearm licence from the State government. But he secured the licenced from Odisha. The reason for it, he said, was because of dispute between him and some others over the mining business.

It may be mentioned here that Nampally Court has granted conditional bail to Vikram Goud on Saturday. He was arrested for making a ‘false complaint’ that he was shot at by unknown assailants.
