Hyderabad: The demand for “Ganesh laddu” is growing year by year during the festival. Various communities irrespective of their religion are coming together to bid for laddu in auctions on the day of immersion.

Two Muslims bagged laddu in two separate auctions in the city. Irfan from Bandlaguda village, who participated in the laddu action at the Vinayaka pandal set up by Shivaji Youth Association at Bandlaguda, bagged the laddu for Rs 1.80 lakh.

Mahabub Vali paid Rs 70,110 for laddu at Ramanthapur padal, organised by Madhura Nagar Trade Association.

Kukatapally laddu fetched Rs 3.66 lakh and bagged by Narendra, Badangpet laddu Rs 5.07 lakh and bagged by Karre Krishna and Madhapur Kothaguda laddu Rs 3.1 lakh and bagged by Ulta Ramesh.
