Hyderabad: Advisor to Government K V Ramanachary on Monday said that the government had made all arrangements for organising the Maha Bathukamma at Lal Bahadur (LB) Stadium on Tuesday on a grand scale.
Addressing a press conference here along with Tourism Corporation Chairman P Ramulu, Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham, Ramanachary said that women in large numbers from districts and mandal headquarters would be brought to L B Stadium on Tuesday for Maha Bathukamma.
The State government would ensure no inconvenience is caused to the women visiting the city. Food and drinking water facilities would be provided to them in the buses. The assistant programmers of the Indira Kranti Padham would be given the responsibility to provide food to the women. In this regard, the government had allocated Rs 3 lakh to each district, he added.
Ramanachary said that the Tuesday’s event would not be related to the Guinness world record. The government would try for the world record on September 28 on the occasion of Saddula Bathukamma.
Tourism Secretary Venkatesham said that the Saddula Bathukamma would reflect the way of life in Telangana. There would be two records during the Saddula Bathukamma; one will be the presence of many women and also about 3,000 women would be standing like the Senna Auriculata (Tangedu Puvvu).
