Hyderabad: Controversial actress Sri Reddy, who created a sensation by stripping herself in full public glare right in front of the Film Chamber of Commerce recently to protest against the sexual abuses she was subjected to from Tollywood, has decided to fight a legal battle with the trolls which abused her on social media on her derogatory remarks on actor Pawan Kalyan. Addressing a press conference along with her advocate here on Wednesday, Sri Reddy divulged details of the defamatory cases that she is going to file in the court of law.

In an interaction with media, Sri Reddy lambasted the Movie Artist Association (MAA) for coming in favour of Pawan Kalyan and not on casting couch issue. “Why is that the MAA only supporting Pawan Kalyan in the closed-door meetings? And why there is no action against Pawan Kalyan who instigated violence on media with his supporters and fans?” she questioned.

She noted that she would not accept the Committee Against Sexual Harassment (CASH) which formed by the MAA to look into the casting couch issue, “How can they include Daggubati Rana, who is the brother of Abhiram (he is facing sexual exploitation allegations by Sri Reddy), and daughter of Ashwini Dutt? I am not going to accept the CASH at any cost.” She also alleged that Film Producer D Suresh Babu tried to hush up her fight by offering crores of rupees. “I am ready to fight the battle, you could kill me in the battle,” she said.

Sri Reddy said she was going to form a group of advocates to take the fight to the next level. Explaining the legal consequences, her lawyer Gopala Krishna Kalanidhi said, “We are in the process of identifying defamatory comments posted on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. I will make those who are responsible for the trolls go behind bars.”

He also stated that they would file a petition with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe into the casting couch, which is prevalent across the country. Later, if the CBI did not respond within the stipulated time, they would knock the apex court’s door, he said.
