Hanamkonda: The activists of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) have accused the GWMC and the district administration of failing to look into the bad condition of roads in Warangal city.

TJS youth wing state coordinator Tirunahari Seshu along with several activists on Tuesday staged a demonstration at Hanamkonda bus stand area, where the road was fully damaged with large sized pot holes.

Speaking to the press, he complained that the pot holes in the midst of the busy road have been causing great inconvenience to the vehicle riders. Often the vehicle riders were falling and getting injured as when it rains it become impossible to locate the pot holes.

The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) officials were giving priority to unessential works while neglecting to carry out repairs to main roads. Despite availability of funds, the GWMC elected body was also overlooking the issue as they were more interested in getting commissions, he alleged.

Seshu demanded the elected body and officials of GWMC and the district administration to focus on the poor condition of roads and make efforts to carry out repairs. Otherwise the TJS would take up series of protests, he warned. TJS leader Kalluri Pavan, Umesh, B Daniel, Dr. Ramesh, Ravi Teja and others were present.
