First warning lifted in Bhadrachalam

Bhadrachalam: The district officials have withdrawn the first warning level on Thursday afternoon as the water level in River Godavari here was marked at 41 feet on the day. The water level was 50 feet on Wednesday and slowly the level was decreased and reached 41 feet.

The irrigation officials said that the flood water receding very slowly here as there was no water flow from upper catchment areas. Godavari water is still touching the bathing ghats on the bank and the devotees coming from far off places were unable to take a holy dip in the river. The relief centers are being continued in the temple town where about 30 families are taking shelter.
