Gajularamaram: About 300 TRS activists, led by M Lakshmayya and Malagari Penta Reddy, of Gajularamaram joined the Congress party on Wednesday in the presence of former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud. They were offered party ‘kanduvas’ by Goud.
The activists said they were attracted by the development schemes, like supply of drinking water, taken up by the Congress leader when he was legislator. Addressing them, Goud asserted that he would strive for development with or without power. He appealed villagers to support the Congress party in the forthcoming elections.
Among those present were Lakshmayya, Penta Reddy, Sanjiva Reddy, E Suresh, N Lingam Goud, G Mohan Reddy, Lakshma Reddy, Naresh Sagar, Rajayya, Shivakumar, T Giri, Yashwanth Reddy, Darshan Reddy, Madusudhan Reddy, Mahesh Kumar, Kuna Krishnamahalakshmi Charitable Trust chairman Kuna Srinivas Goud, Raji Reddy, Anthayya Goud, Yadagiri, Balraj, Varma.
