Kapra: Residents of Jawharnagar and Dammaiguda led by their sarpanch Anuradha Yadagiri Goud have been on a relay hunger strike for the past three days at the Dammaiguda Cross Road, demanding shifting of dump yard from Jawaharnagar. According to Goud, the people residing in the localities in the vicinity of Jawaharnagar are frequently falling prey to ailments and diseases caused by environmental pollution arising from the dump yard.
TRS leader Singireddy Harivardhan Reddy, BJP leader Kompalli Mohan Reddy and a few important persons also extended their support to the strike. MPP Srihari Goud, Yadagiri Goud, Venkatesh Goud, Karthik Goud, Prasanth, Niranjani, Venkatesh, Kiran, Hari and others took part in the protest.
