Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Congress senior leader DK Aruna on Saturday said that she would imprecate him with the power of deity Jogulamba on behalf of the women of Telangana.
Addressing the media, in the backdrop of Chief Minister’s Ashirwada Sabha at Wanaparthy, on Friday, she said that Chandrasekhar Rao has been humiliating the women. She said that the Chief Minister has insulted her at the Wanaparthy meeting.
She said that it seems that the Chief Minister was afraid of losing power if his language at the meeting was examined. The former minister said that Chandrasekhar Rao was still feeling that he was in the combined Andhra Pradesh and speaking accordingly.
Aruna alleged that the Chief Minister has done nothing to the people of old Mahbubnagar district and even the TRS government did not construct canals for the projects being taken up by the previous Congress government.
Advising the Chief Minister to be ashamed of his comments, Aruna said that he should stop speaking lies. She criticised that TRS ministers have spent leisurely time at the project sites in the guest houses than overseeing the construction works.
She said that the Chief Minister should be conscious about the comments he has been making on the Congress and about her. He must learn some culture, she advised. Aruna said that Chandrasekhar Rao did not achieve anything though he represented Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency for five years. She made it clear that deity Jogulamba would not forgive him.
Referring to the comments of the Chief Minister that he would expose misdeeds of her, Aruna wanted to know why he did not do it for the past four and half years. She strongly criticised the Chief Minister to humiliate a woman like her and questioned whether there were no women in the Chief Minister’s family. Aruna made it clear that she would expose the Chief Minister’s misdeeds and demanded him to show the video of her praising minister Raghuveera Reddy during the combined state period.
The former MLA said that she has come from a family which made sacrifices and people of Gadwal know very well about this. She said that the Chief Minister feels that his criticism as psalms and Congress comments as accusations.
She alleged that the Chief Minister has provoked many to sacrifice their lives for Telangana and the Congress has given statehood to Telangana to prevent this. She wanted to know how many families of the martyrs have been helped so far.
Aruna said that even 50,000 people have not attended the meeting of the Chief Minister held at Wanaparthy. The Congress would come into power with the blessings of deity Jogulamba. She alleged that TRS means Telangana Rabandula Party (Party of Vultures).
