Vigilance officials seize 118 quintals PDS rice

Wanaparthy: The Vigilance Task Force team during a raid on GVK Traders Rice Mill in Rangapur village of Pebbair mandal in Wanaparthy district and seized 118 quintals of illegally stored PDS rice the mill on Thursday.

In addition to rice, the officials also seized an auto trolley bearing number AP22 Y 2768 and booked criminal cases against the rice mill owner for stocking the illegal PDS rice worth Rs 3.74 lakh. “We have seized illegally stocked PDS rice and an auto trolley used for transporting the PDS rice from different parts of the villages to the rice mill and booked cases against the culprits,” informed a vigilance official who took part in the raids.
