Vikarabad: As the elections are fast approaching, district machinery is making all sorts of arrangements on a fast pace. Officials are completing the works on priority basis. In the process, they readied supplementary voters list. Due to pre-polls, the State Election Commission released final voters list on October 12 and received applications from the people to enrol as new voters from October 13 to November 9. They also conducted “Check Your Vote” a special programme along with awareness initiatives to make maximum number of people to enrol. Their efforts yielded fruitful results with an increase in the final list of number of voters in the supplementary list also.

Accordingly, total voter number in the district reached to 8,40,175. When compared to the final list 13,389 voters were added to the supplementary. There are four constituencies in the district. As the total voters are 8,40,175 out of which male constitute of 4,21,556 and female 4,18,552. When it comes to the supplementary the total is 13,389 where males are 6,839 and female of 6,870. Women dominated the men with 31 voters. Kodangal constituency registered high number of voters in the final list with male of 2,247 and female with 2,244. In the fray, Vikarabad occupied second place and Tandur settled with last place. In Tandur 3,168 voters were added to the final list where male of 1,103 and female with 1,065.
