Suryapet: Caretaker Minister G Jagadish Reddy called upon people to drive away the BJP and People’s Front candidates to their native constituency Tungaturthi, where they failed as MLAs earlier.
On Wednesday, he carried out his election campaign at Dubba thanda of Penpahad mandal, Rayani Gudem of Suryapet mandal and in Road show held at Suryapet town.
Addressing the gathering, he informed that he established Suryapet district, provided Krishna waters to Suryapet, restored peaceful environment in the constituency, brought medical college to Suryapet, completed 70 per cent of CC roads in all thandas of the constituency and many more as promised during the 2014 elections.
He compared the status of the State before and after 2014 and urged the people to bless him once again to continue the welfare and development in the Suryapet in the next five years.
He listed out welfare schemes and milestones achieved by the TRS government and explained the assurances made in party manifesto for better future of the state. He assured to provide eight months irrigation water to agriculture lands in the constituency through Kaleshwaram and Medigadda irrigation projects from next year.
He also assured to address all the farmers’ issues including correction of new pass books issued under land correction scheme on war footing after TRS retains power in the State.
As many as 600 painters and building workers and 500 physically challenged people expressed their solidarity to Jagadish Reddy in a separate meetings held at Suraypet town.
