Sircilla: TRS leader and Sircilla Assembly candidate KT Rama Rao assured the people of Rajanna Sircilla district of placing the district in top position in terms of development, at a road show here on Wednesday.
He held election campaign in the district in which thousands of people and party workers participated. Speaking on the occasion, KTR reminded the people that he strived hard for solving various issues pertaining to handloom workers during his tenure of four-and-half year as the district MLA and as Minister for Handlooms.
Pointing out AICC president Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that democracy was killed in the State under the ruling of the TRS government, he said that Rahul must recollect that it was Indira Gandhi, who declared emergency in the country by killing democracy. Stating that Congress joined hands with the TDP in an unethical manner, the TRS leader said, “After December 11, Rahul Gandhi will play veena and Chandrababu Naidu will beat drums.”
KTR asked the people not to forget that these very leaders spoke against separate Telangana State before its formation. These elections are not just to elect MLAs, but to respect and for the all-round development of the State. Under the leadership of caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the Telangana stood as a moral for other States.
KCR has been striving hard of uplifting the weaker sections of people. KTR assured that after coming to power, pensions will be doubled along with reducing the eligible age from 60 to 58 years and an unemployment dole of Rs 3,000 will be sanctioned to unemployed youth.
The TRS candidate said that Government Engineering College will be established in Sircilla district and railway station within two years. As soon as the elections are finished, land pattas will be allotted to the people living in BY Nagar in the town. The TRS is going to win more than 100 seats and will form government for the second time in the State, he said with confidence.
“Rahul Gandhi allotted seats from Delhi while Chandrababu Naidu distributed money from Andhra Pradesh. But it is you, the people, who will vote here in Telangana and decide the fate of various parties. So, think wisely before casting your vote,” KTR appealed the public.
