Warangal: As many as 174 students of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITS-W) selected in campus placement drive during this half academic year (2018-19), held here.
The Training and Placement Section, KITS organised campus placement drives through various multinational software and core companies for BTech, MTech and MBA final year students held at the Training and Placement corporate office. “174 students have been selected during the first semester for the academic year 2018-19,” the Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said.
Reddy said that a total of about 63 students from KITSW were requested to join the companies immediately, in their final year. These are internship-based placements in various companies such as Raam Group-18, Znalytics-15, Ad3i-11, GGK-5, Amara Raja Batteries-5, Musigma-2, Value Labs-3, Nine Leaps-1, CtrlS-1.
The remaining 111 students will join their companies after completion of their course i.e. after getting offer letters from the companies, he added. “We have been training the students for the development of soft skills, technical skills, leadership qualities and self-confidence from beginning of the first year. The students who are selected first they go to training for six months,” he said.
KITS Treasurer P Narayan Reddy said that it’s nice to see several KITS students making it to multi-national companies. Dr P Srikanth, Training & Placement Officer, said that all the companies conducted aptitude test, analytical reasoning, technical round and HR interviews before selecting students. KITS Secretary & Correspondent Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao and Dean, Training & Placement Prof Y Purandar were among others present.
