Hyderabad: Executive Director at Surana Group Vinita Surana inaugurated ‘SME Conclave’ (Small Medium Enterprises), organised by BNI Capital at B-Hub on Friday. Later, she delivered the keynote address on the topic, ‘SMEs the Backbone to a Healthy Economy’. The objective of the conclave was to enable delegates to identify the right business opportunities and to streamline their resources for optimum outcomes and wealth generation. It highlighted the best practices followed in businesses and enabled the delegates to rework on their blind spots and leverage their strengths.
Vinita Surana said, “SMEs are the lifeline to industrial development and for any government they should become a policy priority. The impetus given to SMEs can go a long way in creating the complete industrial ecosystem in the neighborhood. They have the potential to build an entire supply-chain, including ancillary units that are essential for larger industries to rely on. Such ecology will be a major traction for larger industries.”
She further added, “SMEs play a pivotal role in generating employment and in helping the governments to tide over the crunch in job creation. They contribute healthy tax revenues to aid the states in their developmental programs. Considering the umpteen spin-offs from SMEs, the governments should incentivise them by encouraging skill development, setting up exclusive SME parks with essential infrastructure, making available easy and affordable loans and drafting SME friendly policies.” Surana praised the entrepreneurs at BNI for their structured and focused business practices. She called upon them to look for no shortcuts to success and strive to reach their goals with utmost commitment.
