Hyderabad: The Garbage Transfer Station of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), located in the heart of the city at Lower Tank bund, is being neglected by the authorities.
The land is littered with unused plastic boxes, crashed garbage and iron bins. At the same time, GHMC runs a campaign for dry waste, wet waste and e-waste and ask citizens to dump wastage in respective bins that have been installed in the city.
The Garbage Transfer Station is now no more being used for its purpose. It has turned into a dump yard. The garbage, iron, plastic and other waste can be reused or can be recycled, but it is simply lying down there.
