Cyberabad police ramp up SHE Teams to rein in crimes
SHE Teams of Cyberabad have been increased to eight teams from existing four to cater to the needs of increasing number of women and children who are coming forward to register complaints A total of 1,747 complaints were received during 2018 from women victims through different means like Dial 100 4, WhatsApp 1493, email 25, Hawkeye 42, direct walkin 180 and on Twitter 3
Hyderabad: SHE Teams of Cyberabad have been increased to eight teams from existing four to cater to the needs of increasing number of women and children who are coming forward to register complaints. A total of 1,747 complaints were received during 2018 from women victims through different means like Dial 100 (4), WhatsApp (1493), email (25), Hawkeye (42), direct walk-in (180) and on Twitter (3).
All complaints have been acted upon and disposed of on merits. A total of 761 cases have been registered out of which 344 are criminal cases including 320 (IPC and Nirbhaya Act cases), 8 (IT Act cases), 16 (POCSO Act cases) and 417 are eve-teasing cases. 1,731 decoy operations were conducted at various places such as bus stops, shopping malls, railway stations, tutorials and colleges. 384 awareness programs were conducted and about 1.68 lakh people were addressed. A total of 25 counselling sessions were held at Women Protection Cell to the respondents.
