Siddipet: MLA Harish Rao laid foundation stone for the kitchen shed construction works taken up at a cost of Rs 10 lakh at government girls high school here on Tuesday.Speaking on the occasion, he advised the teachers to strive to improve pass percentage of Class10 students.
He also announced A cash reward of Rs 25,000 to the students who secure 10/10 in the final exams. Rao also enquired about the facilities provided in the school.
Rao sought the help of teachers in making the town clean and urged them to make the students aware of the importance of keeping their surroundings clean.
He called for expanding greenery in the town by planting trees and for keeping the town pollution free. He said that in order to keep the diseases at bay everyone should plant trees and protect them. Municipal chairman Rajanarsu and other councilors were present.
