Miryalaguda (Nalgonda): The police carried out cordon and search operation in Gandhi Nagar in One Town area of Miryalaguda on Friday. Over 150 police personnel including two Circle Inspectors, 11 Sub-Inspectors and three ASIs under the supervision of Miryalaguda Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivas carried out the cordon and search operations in the houses in Gandhi Nagar and checked the identity of persons staying in them.
Police seized as many as 99 bikes, 10 auto-rickshaws and three tractors as the owners failed to produce valid papers. The police also took a few suspicious persons into their custody and quizzed them.
Speaking to media, DSP Srinivas has informed that on the direction of district SP Ranganath, the cordon and search operation was carried out in the town to put check to anti-social elements and illegal activities taking place in Miryalaguda. He urged the denizens to extend their help in curbing the crimes and make Miryalaguda a crime-free town.
