Amazon to promote STEM education

Hyderabad: Amazon India is to promote STEM education and is in the process of setting up Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools in Telangana and Karnataka as part of its CSR programme.
Atal Tinkering Labs, an initiative under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of NITI Aayog, was set up with an objective to create opportunities to develop Neoteric Child Innovators in India. ATLs are dedicated work spaces where students (Class 6th to Class 12th) learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India.
As per the guidelines of NITI Aayog - in government schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas, state-governed schools as well as those managed by the Zilla Parishads, Mahanagar Palikas, etc., so as to enable students from all sections of the society to access STEM learning, training and facilities easily and in the process develop interest in these subjects.
ISF will also train teachers and students in this learning method and support the schools with trained professionals.
