Film U boasts of unique concept

The film ‘U’ with Kovera in the male lead and Himani Katragadda and Swapna Rao in the female leads is produced by Vijayalakshmi Konda under Kovera Creations and helmed by Kovera himself. Speaking to the media a few days ago in Hyderabad, Kovera said that although ‘U’ was a one-word title film, content was the king or hero for the film with its gripping narration. He said that he worked with story writer Vijayendra Prasad for four years and worked on the script.

Kovera said that ‘U’ was based on a totally new concept which remained unexplored during the past 80 years of Telugu cinema. Nobody took up such a project in the past, he added. He said that the story was written keeping Pawan Kalyan in mind and the film should have been made at a whopping amount of Rs 100 crore, but due to budgetary constraints, they were forced to make it within a modest figure of Rs 1 crore with himself in the lead. He said that the first half of the film was made in the backdrop of a village while the second half in an underworld, which is totally different.
