Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam Party supremo entered the district on Friday evening. The district, once the bastion of the party, has been riddled with groupism and the warring factions hoped that the padayatraA would pep up the party morale burying the differences.
However, his ankles sprained forcing him to rest for two days from Sunday. Babu's yatra was received with much enthusiasm and large crowds were seen accompanying him at different places. He entered the district at Gannavaram and toured for five kilometers covering Sharabhavaram and Sungavaram villages before calling rest for the day.
On the advice of his doctors, Babu decided to rest for two days and split Friday's schedule into two parts. He covered the first part soon after the entry and will resume the remaining part on Monday. Sickness , however, did not deter him from meeting people and interacting with various sections of the people.
Resuming attack on the Congress government during the padayatra, Babu said the chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is heading a government of cheats and 420s and in a short future, the cabinet would be meeting in a jail. He said in all the graft cases, the officials have been put behind the bars and the ministers were moving free.
``The police boss Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy herself is facing a 420 case but no action was taken against her though some officials were sent to jail,'' he said.
