open2 Visakhapatnam: The State government, led by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, is giving top priority to the development of Agency areas, said Minister for Tribal Welfare P Balaraju while laying foundation-stones and inaugurating several developmental projects worth Rs 27.75 crore in Paderu revenue division as part of Revenue Sadassu on Tuesday. He laid the stone for Vaddadi-Paderu Road at Minimuluru worth Rs 5.4 crore, Paderu-Chintapalle Road at Matsyapuram worth Rs 1.7 crore and road-widening projects to all shandies in the Agency.A The minister also laid foundation-stones for additional buildings for schools and hostels. Later, he inaugurated Revenue Sadassu at Solabham village, which was attended by Collector V Seshadri and other senior officials. After the meeting, Mr Balaraju distributed appointment letters to 337 tribal teachers who were selected in special DRC. Elsewhere, Minister for Ports and Investments Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the month-long Revenue Sadassu at Anakapalli on Tuesday. A On this occasion, he said a total of 29,000 applications with regard to land disputes and other issues were submitted in the last sadassus of which 19,000 were settled. He asked the Revenue officials to redress the pending land issues at the earliest. Later, he distributed Pavala Vaddi loans to the tune of Rs 8.19 lakh to 163 DWCRA group members, Rs 2.14 lakh towards scholarships to poor students and 319 LPG connections to DWCRA women under the Deepam scheme. Collector V Seshadri, Joint Collector Praveen Kumar, RDO Rangaiah, MLAs Avanthi Srinivasa Rao, UV Ramana Murty Raju (Kannababu) and Chintalapudi Venkatramaiah were present.
