Visakhapatnam: With an intention to avoid further delays in grounding projects and to settle issues for better image of the organisation, Vice Chairman of VUDA Dr N Yuvaraj took the initiative to finalise the fate of various projects under Public - Private Partnership (PPP), pending with VUDA. A review was conducted with the officials as well as the private partners of PPP projects on Friday to discuss issues from both sides.

The issue had been placed before the VUDA Board meeting last month and a sub- committee was appointed to suggest action to be taken on five PPP projects. Mr Yuvaraj conducted a meeting for the second time with the developers to listen to their grievances to place the same before the forthcoming VUDA board meeting to decide further course of action in regard with the implementation.

VUDA has taken up a number of projects in the areas of housing, tourism, entertainment and commercial space under PPP mode on the basis of lease, revenue sharing and build-operate-transfer (BOT). They include projects such as big screen at Tenneti Park, commercial complex in front of VUDA office, revolving restaurant and cottages atop Kailasagiri, mega housing project at Rushikonda, Boat Club at VUDA Park, Vaisakhi Jala Udyanavanam and Ultra Modern Layout at Dakamarri and others.
