The Collector discussed on giving permissions to the applicants received under TS-IPASS, with the officials at Revenue Divisional Office here on Friday.

Peddapalli: District Collector Dr Alagu Varshini directed the officials to grant permission immediately to the applicants, who want to establish an industry as per the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TS-IPASS) Act-2014.

The Collector discussed on giving permissions to the applicants received under TS-IPASS, with the officials at Revenue Divisional Office here on Friday.

Addressing the officials, the Collector said that as many as 74 applications were received for establishing various units under TS-IPASS till date. Out of which permission was given for 47 units and the applications of 13 units were rejected while the remaining were under observation.

She advised the officials to help applicants, whose applications are rejected, by informing them the reasons for rejecting their pplications and to suggest them how to overcome such problems as per the rules and regulations of TS-IPASS Act-2014.

In the process of establishment of industries, the district is lagging far behind other districts even though there are plenty of resources are present in the district, said the Collector.

She urged the officials to strive hard and to create awareness among the people, explain them about the need for setting up industries in the district by which many unemployed may get plenty of job opportunities.

She also suggested them to bring the problems to her notice to solve them immediately for not letting go the opportunity of establishment of industries in the district.

The officials were advised to adopt a village each, where there is a possibility of establishing a industry and train the youth of that area by sending them to other states who are interested in establishing a industry.

Revenue Divisional Officers Ashok Kumar (Peddapalli) and Srinivas (Manthani), General Manager of Industries department Prem Kumar, Ground Water department officer Hari Kumar, District Registrar Dilip Chandra, District Town Planning Officer Venkanna, District Fire Officer K Sudharshan and District Panchayat Officer V Sudarshan were present along with other officials.
