Woman dies after consuming contaminated water

Mahabubabad: A woman, Shravani, of Namalapadu village in Bayyaram mandal, died allegedly after consuming contaminated water. Without supply of safe drinking water, the residents of several villages have been using water for drinking and other purposes from a stream, which is being contaminated with wastes from fields.

Thus the villagers are becoming victims of viral fevers and without any treatment losing their lives. Local MLA Koram Kanakaiah on Wednesday consoled Shravani’s family members and assured of providing assistance.
