KCR deceiving farmers in the guise of welfare policies: BJP Kisan Morcha
The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, was deceiving the farmers in the guise of farmer welfare policies, alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha state president G Madhusudhan Reddy.
Hasanparthy: The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, was deceiving the farmers in the guise of farmer welfare policies, alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha state president G Madhusudhan Reddy.
He said the GO 39 issued by the government to set up farmer’s coordination committees was anti-farmer policy and meant to cheat farmers. The government must scrap the GOs 39 and 42 as they were detrimental to the interests of farming community.
Madhusudhan Reddy addressed a gathering at Hasanparthy in the district on Thursday, where the party workers have staged a dharna against the GO. The coordination committees were aimed to accommodating the TRS workers in them instead of real farmers, he alleged. The proposed committees would damage the peaceful atmosphere in the villages, he said.
The Kisan Morcha leader accused the TRS government of neglecting the Central government schemes meant for farmers. The State government failed to contribute its share for the implementation of Fasal Bhima Yojana due to which the farmers could not make use of the scheme.
The Centre has allocated Rs 200 crores towards soil tests to assess quality of agriculture lands in the State. Because of the government’s indifference in executing the programme, the State stood at 18th place in the country.
On the other hand, the TRS government has been diverting huge amounts of central funds meant for farmers’ welfare to Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha. It was nothing but deceiving the farmers in the State, Madhusudhan Reddy noted.
The party state vice-president M Dharma Rao, official spokesperson A Rakesh Reddy, retired Prof K Venkata Narayana and others felt that the High Courts’ directions to the State government on the GO 39 was a setback to the government.
It has become a practice for the government to issue GOs without any groundwork and proper objectives and then get admonished by the courts. In the past, the government was rebuked on several occasion by the courts, at least now the government should act wisely and withdraw the GO 39, said the party Warangal urban district president Rao Padma.
The party leaders M Satyanarayana Reddy, N Venugopal Reddy, G Yadagiri Rao, V Sammi Reddy, Rao Amarender Reddy, G Siva Kumar, S Jagadeeshwar, T Kumara Swamy, Kishan Morcha state vice president M Ramchandra Reddy and others were present.
