Participate in games, sports to stay fit, Collector tells officials

Peddapalli: District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy urged the district officials to take part in sports and games to keep them physically and mentally fit. He was participating in the sports and games competitions organised by District Youth and Sports Department for district officials and journalists on the occasion of District Formation Day in the town on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector, who was the chief guest on the occasion said that sports would help them in getting relief from the hectic schedule we pass through every day. He expressed his happiness for conducting games between the district officials and journalists for developing a team spirit among them.

Kabaddi, shotput, 100 m, 200 m and one km running events, walking and volleyball games and other sports are being conducted on the occasion for the district officials and Journalists. The winners would be given awards at a grand ceremony which would be conducted during the celebrations of the District Formation Day, informed the Collector.

Later, Prabhakar Reddy participated in the shotput game to create enthusiasm among the district officials and journalists. District Agriculture Officer A Thirumal Prasad, DCO Chandraprakash Reddy, District Animal Husbandry department officer Rajanna and the staff of Collectorate were present along with several local journalists.
