ABVP stages dharna
hey raised slogans against the College management and demanded the arrest of Principal Srinivas Reddy for beating the students unnecessarily. After getting information, the police rushed to the spot and requested the protestors to withdraw their dharna.
Nalgonda: Protesting against the Principal for reportedly manhandling student leaders during the state-wide educational bandh on July 26, ABVP members and BJP leaders have jointly organised a dharna in front of Priyadarshini Degree College in Huzurnagar on Wednesday.
They raised slogans against the College management and demanded the arrest of Principal Srinivas Reddy for beating the students unnecessarily. After getting information, the police rushed to the spot and requested the protestors to withdraw their dharna.
But the protestors continued their dharna demanding justice and the police tried to disperse them using mild force. One of the students was severely injured during the police caning and was shifted to local hospital for treatment.
At the same time, another group of protestors entered into the College and ransacked the furniture in retaliation to the Principal action on ABVP leaders on the bandh day.
