Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed along with Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy on Wednesday inspected the arrangements going on in Lakshmipur village of Ramadugu mandal ahead of the tour of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the CM will visit Lakshmipur village on Friday (December 8) to inspect the ongoing construction works of tunnel, pump house and granite canal of Kaleshwaram project. After staying at Telangana Bhavan at Teegalaguttapalli in Karimnagar on Wednesday, the Chief Minister will visit Tupakulagudem, Medigadda Annaram and Sundilla on Thursday to check the progress of construction of barrages works under Kaleshwaram Project and pump house works at Kannepalli Siripuram and will stay in Ramagundam on Thursday night.

On Friday, the CM will inspect the construction works of tunnel, pump house, and granite canal at Lakshmipuram village of Ramadugu mandal in Karimnagar and will participate in a review meeting with the officials of irrigation department. The Collector informed that all arrangements will be completed by Thursday at Ramadugu mandal in Karimnagar for making the CM’s tour a grand success.

Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy said that tight security arrangements were made for the CM tour. There is no permission for people and people’s representatives and only the officials of concerned departments and Kaleshwaram Project officials will be permitted to attend the tour programme of Chief Minister, he added. Roads and Buildings department Executive Engineer KV Raghava Charyulu, Rural Development Officer Raja Goud and Project officials accompanied the Collector.
