Mancherial: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof M Kodandaram said that the crop yield in Mancherial and Komaram Bheem-Asifabad districts decreased in the past three years due to substandard fertilisers and spurious seeds. Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram said farmers are facing hardships due to lack of remunerative price to their produce. “Only farmers associations are staging protests on behalf of the farmers, but it is everyone’s responsibility to come to their rescue”.

He said that an action plan under the aegis of JAC will be prepared to solve farmers’ issues. Taking opinions from all the attendees, meetings will be conducted in all the districts before January 31. Later, a grand meeting will be held in Hyderabad, he added.
