A small group of student activists, who tried obstructing the convoy of Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Administration, KT Rama Rao, were arrested by the police here on Wednesday.
Mahabubabad: A small group of student activists, who tried obstructing the convoy of Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Administration, KT Rama Rao, were arrested by the police here on Wednesday.
The incident took place at Sarvepalli Radhakrisha Centre in the town as the Minister arrived here to launch several development works. When the Ministers’ convoy reached the centre, activists have rushed towards it but were overpowered by the police present there.
The activists affiliated to different Left wing student organisations wanted to stage protest over the State government’s failure to establish a postgraduate college at the town, the police said.The arrested were later released by the police.
