‘Akividu Arupu’ on September 16

Akividu (West Godavari): Devotees of Shirdi Sai led by Undi MLA Siva took out a huge rally followed by ‘Vanta-varpu’ protest on highway No 216 here on Saturday demanding the Congress high command to revoke the decision to divide the State. The MLA called upon the agitators to make ‘Akividu Arupu’ scheduled for September 16 a success. Former MLA Sarraju also joined the agitation.

Palakol (West Godavari): NGOs stormed the residence of MLC Angara Rammohana Rao and demanded him to quit TDP and to unite all political forces launch unified struggle against State division. A ‘Sadbhavana yatra’ was taken out under the aegis of Samaikyandhra Student JAC from Chikkala to Vedangipalem. Farmers from different villages accompanied by MLC (YSRCP) Meka Seshubabu joined the procession on bullock carts.

Activity of striking NGOs was hectic in Mogaltur and Narsapur mandals. In Narsapur, a 500 feet long national flag was taken out in a procession. Teachers joined them. A huge rally was organised under the aegis of Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Samiti at Eluru with a demand to halt the creation of Telangana State.
