Participants of CBIT MUN 2013 were enlightened about how to enroll themselves in the UN in the future by the guest of honour Venkat Munagala, Senior researcher at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He also worked as management analyst at UN earlier. He discussed about the UN and it activities. Dr M Malkondaiah, Director of AP Police Academy, spoke about the present crime scenario in the world and international affairs. He guided the representing delegates on how to get involved by giving examples to them.

He guided the representing delegates on how to get involved by giving examples to them.
Suresh Peri, deputy secretary general who heads the MUN training team, addressed the delegates on how to train and how to be trained. The secretary general Sreekar Reddy shared his experiences while organising the programme and the hurdles they faced.
The CBIT MUN has seven teams. International Criminal Court (ICC) which will be discussing about the trial of Basher-Allah; UNESCO, International telecommunications union (ITU); World International Property Organisation(WIPO); Emergency Response Council(ERC) which is discussing about crisis in Arctic region; UN General Assembly(UNGA) which has two agendas viz impact of economic crisis and effects of sanctions on economy, humanitarian aspects and education. Students from various colleges across the country and a few from abroad have come to participate in the MUN. The students of CBIT are acting as directors whereas a few students who qualified in the interview by the CBIT students are acting as Chair and Vice Chair. The other students are the delegates.
The debates will continue till September 8 at Golkonda Resorts, Hyderabad.
