Gujarati High School, Secunderabad celebrated its 78thAnnual Day on Thursday with great zest and enthusiasm. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Padma Rao, Excise and Prohibition, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister along with Principal Chandrashree Naidu.

Hyderabad: Gujarati High School, Secunderabad celebrated its 78thAnnual Day on Thursday with great zest and enthusiasm. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Padma Rao, Excise and Prohibition, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister along with Principal Chandrashree Naidu.

They addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the parents in ensuring that their children are confident and have the right values.

The celebrations of the school brought out the essence of cultural diversity and rich heritage of the country. A dance performance was given by Class V, Vl and Vlll standard girls with a social message ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.

Bhangra and western dances presented by students which received a huge applause. The students who performed ‘Malhari’ dance stole the show. The programme was interesting and informative.Later, the vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal. The programme culminated with the national anthem.
