Kurnool man selected for Sepak Takraw Championship
Ch Ashok Kumar from Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh was selected for Asian Sepak Takraw Championship which will be held at Kunming, China from June 8 to 14.
Vijayawada: Ch Ashok Kumar from Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh was selected for Asian Sepak Takraw Championship which will be held at Kunming, China from June 8 to 14. Ashok will represent India at the championship, said Andhra Pradesh State Sepak Takraw Association secretary G Srinivasulu here on Thursday.
He said that Ashok was selected for the championship at the ongoing training camp at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. After that he will proceed to China to participate in the Championship. He said that Ashok was in this sport for the last 10 years and won many medals for the state and National level.
Earlier, he was selected for an International championship at Thailand. The district Sepak Takraw and the State Sepak Takraw Associations congratulated Ashok on the occasion.
