Virat Kohli has revealed his favourite movie starring wife Anushka Sharma. The Indian captain and the Bollywood queen have been married for almost two years now and are one of the most popular couples in the industry.
While Anushka is seen cheering for the cricketer from the stands in almost every big tournament, Kohli returns the favour by never missing Anushka's any new releases.
During an interview with India Today, Kohli was asked about his favourite Anushka film to which he instantly replied," Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, hands down."
"That character for me is my most favourite ever. I mean I still tell her often even now. Sometimes I sit down and open Youtube and watch that sequence of when she has cancer and the whole thing where Ranbir (Kapoor) comes back. That song is etched in my heart. It is never gonna be going anywhere," the Indian captain added.
The film, which also starred Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, released in 2016 and was commercially successful as it grossed over ₹237.56 crores across the worldwide.
On being asked who was his favourite sportsperson, Kohli replied,"I would name two." There were no surprises when one of them was Sachin Tendulkar.
"From a cricket point of view Sachin Tendulkar because he is my inspiration. He gave me the vision to move forward and apart from that, Cristiano Ronaldo because I like the fact that he is being targeted on a daily basis but has the mental strength to work hard and the desire to keep coming back.
For me, those things are most important than someone having an absolute, unreal natural ability which is Messi. So, I am in awe of Ronaldo," Kohli, who co-owns the Indian Super League franchise FC Goa, added.
Currently, the World No. 1 ODI batsman is gearing up for India's upcoming limited-overs series against the West Indies at home.
A few days back, Kohli entered the record books yet again and he received the feat during India's two-Test series against Bangladesh in the ongoing World Test championship.
The second Test that was played at the Eden Gardens was a special one for Team India as it was their maiden day-night Test and Kohli ensured it would be remembered for a very long time. The Indian captain recorded his career's 27th Test hundred as India thrashed the Bangla Tigers by an innings and 46 runs.
