Amazon announced more additions and upgrades to its Echo smart speaker and smart display lineups.

Amazon's vast hardware event of the year 2019 has wrapped up. Amazon has announced many new products, which includes the Echo Buds, Echo Studio speaker, Echo Frames, other smart home and connected devices from its brands' Ring and Eero. And before I forget let me mention about a new Alexa powered oven also, yeah you read it right an oven.

New Echos

Amazon's latest updates dominated the event to its Echo line of devices.

1. Echo Dot with Clock




Amazon has given its entry-level Echo, the Echo Dot, a nifty upgrade. The new Echo Dot with Clock will feature a digital alarm clock on the front, which brightness can be controlled at times you prefer. This LED display also enables the Dot to show the weather, when questioned, or a countdown timer. It is available in India for pre-order today from Rs 5,499.

2. Echo Studio



The Echo the audiophiles have been waiting for. The new Echo Studio is a competitor to Google's Nest, Max and Apple's HomePod. This device supports 3D audio and Dolby Atmos. It features five drivers, including one 5.25-inch bass driver facing downward, a 1-inch, front-firing tweeter and three mid-range speakers measuring around 2-inch, left, right, and top aimed at different directions.And it has a 24-bit DAC and a power amplifier with 100 kHz of bandwidth for high-res, lossless music playback. The new Amazon Echo Studio comes with a price tag of Rs 22,999 in India.

3. Echo Buds




Amazon announced Echo Buds made in partnership with Bose. Now, Alexa comes to your ear through Amazon's wireless earbuds with a price tag of $129. The Echo Buds offers Bose's Active Noise Reduction Technology and also provides hands-free access to Alexa. Now you can do things like play music, get directions, order an Uber and more.

The Echo Buds promise to offer five hours of battery life after a single charge, with up to 20 hours total, including the case. You can pre-order for the earbuds today.

4. Echo Show 8




The Echo Show 8 is a smaller, 8-inch version of the 10-inch flagship model of the Echo device with a screen. It's a little bigger than the Echo 5, which is more of an alarm clock alternative, so makes sense for watching videos and placing voice calls…or drop in on the kids. The device features an HD display and built-in camera shutter. This comes for $129.

5. Echo

Amazon restored its present Echo speaker with better sound and new fabric covers in different colours like Twilight Blue, Charcoal, Heather Grey, and Sandstone. Echo comes at the same price as earlier at $99. You need not run out and buy this Echo to replace your old one.

6. Echo Glow




The Echo Glow is similar to the Amazon Echo Buttons that was launched a few years back. Echo Glow is a lamp that you can tap to change the colour. This Alexa-powered device can be used to display flickering campfire light for kids, create dance party lights and more. The Echo Glow will be available for pre-order in the US today, costing $29.99.

7. Echo Flex




Now you will be able to bring Echo to the bathroom with the new $25 Echo Flex device. The Flex plugs into any available outlet and works as a small smart speaker. There's no camera, but it can respond to voice commands, like giving you the news and weather update while you get ready for work. It can also be upgraded with $14 accessories, including a Smart Night Light or Motion Sensor. The Flex costs $25.

8. Echo Frames & Loop




Amazon introduced its beta, invite-only hardware devices. One is a pair of Alexa-enabled glasses priced at $179.99 that stick four micro speakers in the frame for hands-free Alexa.

9. Smart Ring




The other is Alexa-enabled smart ring with two microphones that puts Alexa on your finger for quick questions or brief calls. It comes at the cost of $129.99.

10. New Eero mesh Wi-Fi router




Amazon launched the next generation of its Eero router, which works better with Alexa now. The router allows you to shut off or pause the Wi-Fi with voice commands. The router cost $99, or available in a three-pack for $249, and is available in the U.S. today and in Europe later this year.

11. Amazon Smart Oven




This time around, Amazon takes on the June Oven with a $250 combination convection oven, microwave, air fryer, and food warmer. Once paired with Echo, you can ask Alexa to do things like preheating the oven, start or stop the cooking, and much more.

12. New Ring Cams




The Ring Stick Up Cam got a price drop to $99 as the Ring Stick Up Cam Elite, $199, launches. Unlike the Stick Up Cam, the new camera will be powered over Ethernet. The Ring Indoor Cam is a wired-only cheaper version of the camera at $60.
