Netflix StreamFest is now live in India as it started today at 9:00 am. Netflix will be free until 8:59 am on December 11.
Netflix StreamFest took place last weekend in India, where the entire Netflix catalogue was free for two days. Netflix has extended this to two more days from today.
Netflix StreamFest is now live in India as it started today at 9:00 am. Netflix will be free until 8:59 am on December 11. Netflix has not announced the StreamFest extension, but the page dedicated to the event does mention the new dates. The rules are the same as for Netflix StreamFest. You will still need to create a Netflix account on the web or through your Android app. Then you can stream Netflix for free on any compatible device.
Netflix offers streaming per account and in standard definition (SD) format. Netflix's entire catalogue, including movies, TV shows, and documentaries, is available for free. You can also use Netflix features, including profiles, parental controls, lists, and smart downloads. You can also stream Netflix to a bigger screen from your phone or laptop.
Netflix will also limit the number of people streaming at the same time if it reaches full capacity. When this happens, Netflix will alert you by saying "StreamFest is full". Netflix will also let you know when you can start streaming again.
This is the first time Netflix has hosted this event. The first weekend appears to have been a success, as the app recorded eight lakh of downloads in India, according to a report from Mint. Netflix StreamFest is expected to have a similar second run.
