"Air purifiers are going to be a game-changer in the near future", says Dr Pralhad Prabhudesai- Lilavati Hospital Mumbai
I believe air purifiers are going to be a game-changer in the near future. They certainly serve an important function in stores, salons, hospitals, and other congested areas.
As we all know, every year around this time of the year, we face hazardous pollution, and the air levels deteriorate further, especially in metros. However, with the pandemic, the bigger question is, are we even safe indoors?
The Hans India connected to Dr Pralhad Prabhudesai, Consultant Chest Physician, Lilavati hospital Mumbai, Gurunanak Hospital Mumbai.
Dr. Prabhudesai has been associated with Lilavati Hospital for 20 years. He has an overall experience of 28 years. Dr. Pralhad is a refreshingly different respiratory physician. His spectrum ranges from being an adept bronchoscopist both therapeutic and diagnostic, treating all diffuse lung diseases, with a unique skill, extremely confident in treating drug-resistant tuberculosis, handling obstructive lung diseases with ease to grass root levels of preventive care. He gives equal importance to smoking cessation and educating patients about lung hygiene. His special interest areas are management of Diffuse Lung Disease and MDR TB.
Dr Pralhad has been using Molekule and has been a witness to how Molekule has been transforming the ways we breathe air.
Dr Pralhad Prabhudesai says, "I believe air purifiers are going to be a game-changer in the near future. They certainly serve an important function in stores, salons, hospitals, and other congested areas. I've been using air purifiers for almost ten years, and they're an integral part of my clinic and rehabilitation center. Patients with asthma and other serious respiratory diseases require extra attention and care when it comes to the air quality they breathe, necessitating the installation of air purifiers in both of my settings.
I've used Molekule Air Mini for about 6 months now, and although we don't have metrics to prove if IAQ has improved, there are certainly some positive effects that we have noticed. For example- the possibility of infection is generally higher in such sensitive zones, but we have noticed zero infection rate since Molekule's installation. The device collects air from all around instead of one direction, destroys the pollutants at the molecular level, and does so with utmost silence. The PECO technology, so far, seems impressive as compared to the HEPA filters. Molekule's elegant design and portability are added bonuses."
About Molekule
Molekule has committed over 25 years of research and development and introduced its products that effectively deal with the problem of poor indoor air. Molekule products rely on the company's patented photo electrochemical oxidation (PECO) technology, which is fundamentally a new approach to air purification technology compared to HEPA filters. Instead of just filtering pollutants out of the air, PECO technology enables Molekule's premium air purifiers to actually destroy pollutants – including viruses, bacteria, VOCs, mold, and allergens – at the molecular level. PECO sits at the crux of Molekule's air purification technology and has been validated by various third-party laboratories and internal testing. In a recent study with the University of Minnesota, Molekule's devices were proven to inactivate up to 99.99% of coronavirus strains (porcine & bovine) and H1N1 flu virus.
The company marked its entry into the Indian market last year and has launched two products– Air Mini and Air Mini+, exclusively on Amazon.in. Both these products are available at huge discounts during the pollution season, in line with the brand's mission to provide clean indoor air to everyone, everywhere. Furthermore, Molekule had also donated over 3,000 devices to hospitals and care centers in India to aid the COVID-19 battle during the second wave. Molekule's PECO technology is crucial in today's time, given the rising awareness regarding the hazardous effects of air pollution, risks of viral exposures, and increasing expenditures on health & wellness products.
