Vivo V17 May Launch on December 9
Though the media invite mentions a new smartphone in the ‘V’ series, we can assume it to be handset V17.
By sending media invitations, Vivo confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in December. Though the invite mentions a new smartphone in the 'V' series, we can approve that the device will be the V17. It is said that this will be the less powerful version of the Vivo V17 Pro that launched a few weeks back. The new smartphone to be launched on December 9, 2019, may sport a punch-hole display on the top right corner as seen in the invite image.
Even though officially there's no information, it can be confirmed that Vivo V17 will feature a 6.44-inch screen size with FHD+ (2400x1080 pixels) resolution. Users may also get an iView display on an E3 Super AMOLED panel. All these specs are similar to V17 Pro. We also expect Corning Gorilla glass protection and around 20:9 aspect ratio in the V17.
Specifications of V17
As of now, there is no word yet about other specifications. Anyhow as it is a less powerful version of the V17 Pro, we can assume that users may get Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or a less powerful processor along with 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB inbuilt storage. Similar to V17 Pro, the V17 could also have cameras as its highlight. It is not for sure though what camera features and how many sensors with the handset have. The battery capacity is also expected to be less than the V17 Pro, which came with a 4100mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging tech.
When it comes to pricing, also there is no word about it, but we can expect the handset may be priced around Rs 22,000 bearing in mind that the 'Pro' version launched at Rs 29,990.
