TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked the party rank and file to organise gala celebrations marking the inauguration of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project in every village in the state on June 21.

Addressing the state executive meeting of the party at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, the TRS chief said the government would inaugurate the biggest lift irrigation project in the world and asked the party leaders to celebrate it in a big way. The executive committee adopted a resolution congratulating the Chief Minister for completing such a big project in a short time.
The leaders hailed him for the big achievements like completing the Mission Bhagiratha, providing 24-hour free power to farmers, etc. According to sources, the Chief Minister has detailed the role played by the TRS since its inception in 2001. He said the TRS has been a protective cover to Telangana during the agitation and worked for the people of the state.
He underlined the need for selfless service to gain admiration of the people, the sources said. The TRS president congratulated the party leaders for winning 85 per cent of the seats in local body elections. KCR asked the party leaders to take up construction of party offices in all the districts by laying foundation stones on June 24. He also asked them to ensure all the buildings are completed by Dasara festival.
The names for the party offices would be declared on July 27, the sources added. Party funds would be utilised for the construction of the offices. About Rs 19.20 crore would be used for having party offices in all the districts, including the one in Hyderabad. The TRS president would kick start the membership drive of the party from June 27.
The CM would renew his membership along with important leaders during the party extended committee meeting to be held on June 27. The party leaders have been asked to finish the membership drive by July end. Government Whip in Council Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said that the Chief Minister congratulated the state executive committee members who became public representatives during the recent elections. He said that the party chief explained how the TRS had worked for the people of Telangana even during the Telangana agitation.
