Seven people returned from Mumbai to their native places in Mancherial tested positive for coronavirus

As many as seven people who returned from Mumbai to their native places in Mancherial have been tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. Speaking to media, COVID-19 nodal officer Balaji said that the fresh cases reported from Dandepalli, Jinnaram, Laksettipeta and Bellampalli.

All were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment while their family members were placed under home quarantine. Following the report of two new cases, the officials cordoned off the villages and disinfectant them.

On Sunday night, two people who returned to Mancherial from Mumbai has been tested positive for coronavirus. The two persons belong to Chandrampet of Sircilla Urban and Nagampalli of Vemulwada mandal respectively.

In April, three out of four persons who returned from Markaz in Delhi were tested positive for coronavirus and the trio was discharged from the hospital after recovery. With the report of two new cases, the expectations of district officials entering into the green zone were shattered.
