8 held for mobile snatching in Hyderabad

Eight people including three minor boys were arrested on Friday for allegedly involving in snatching cases reported in Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad. Four bikes and around 34 mobile phones were seized.

The arrested were identified as Syed Haroon, Mohd Fahad, Mohd Mohsin Alam, Mohd Zubair and Zubair and the remaning three are minors. The police arrested four of the gang on Thursday during a vehicle check Mettuguda and other four were taken into custody on Friday.

It is learned that the gang used to target the people walking with mobile phones in secluded places and then flee from the spot switching off the snatched phones. Later, they would sell mobile phones at low prices.
